Birthdays, McCain, and Treehouse of Horror

One of the McCain supporters on my flist, a person who'd post about why they were voting Republican and then screened comments so no one could argue with her, just took me off her flist. This was less than a week after complaining that some Obama supporters took her off their flist. Such drama these people...
If you really can't be around people who disagree, perhaps LJ isn't the best place for you.

Anyway, I'm all stoked to support President Obama tomorrow. My polling location is CobbleStone Farm, which is where H and I got married. Nice, no?

Grande birthday wishes to my dear friends [livejournal.com profile] uterdic and [livejournal.com profile] lickingtoad. Having you both in my life is totally worth buying two presents. ;-]

Speaking of birthdays, I'm having a few people over for cake on Saturday the 22nd. The usual, peeps, pineapple cake, mad libs...will occur. Everyone is invited, per usual. I hope lots of you can come, even though it will still be a smallish gathering. It is for my birthday, which is on the 24th. I have a wish list if anyone is interested in buying me something, which you should feel no obligation to do.

TV last night was wicked awesome. Simpsons did a marvelous job lampooning Transformers, and paying homage to Charles Shultz. Good, good stuff. Family Guy and American Dad were hilarious as always, although my disc ran out of space, so I missed the last 2 minutes of American Dad. Fie!!!

I'm behind on the NaNoWriMo. Going to try to stay remotely caught up this week if I can. It's a lot more difficult when you have a job. ;-/

Charles Schulz. There is no T. I spent so many years getting that one wrong too, that I humbly correct you so that you may know. :)

Oops. I should know that too, I got a form letter from him as a kid.

I started reading Peanuts when I started reading. Back in 1966-1967. The house where I grew up had several Peanuts collections that I read repeatedly. Yet in the last 42 years, not once did I notice there wasn't a T in Charles Schulz.

Thanks, for the well wishing. I will be reciprocating very soon.

November is the best month for Birthdays!!!

Wait, what? Cobblestone Farm (whose fountain garden I created) is a polling location?? I live less than half a mile from there but have to go to the somewhat stinky gymnasium at Scarlett-Mitchell Schools to vote, which is about 3 miles from my house. Darn arbitrary ward designations!

Apparently. I was pretty stoked, because it's VERY close to my apartment.

Sorry you have to go so far...that's a drag.

My polling location is Merriman Elementary, about 1000 feet from the house. I lucked out there.

Nice.
