Aw Dammit.

I was kind of looking forward to NOT doing the NaNoWriMo this year. I have my serial killer to work on, and I did manage to win the thing 4 years in a row (though last year was a close one). So I thought if no genius ideas came to mind, that I really would skip it this year.

And then...

Last night I was sitting at work during an unbelievably slow time. I had Emailed myself my "idea file" so I could go over it at work during such slow times. An idea caught my eye, one I'd been noodling on for a while and I started writing it as a short story. Within 2 hours (yes, it was THAT slow that I was barely interrupted 3 times during 2 hours) I realized that this story needed at least a novella to make it work...probably a full out novel.

So I decided to put my serial killer on hold yet again, to focus on a woman in love with her boss. She's going to go to some rather extreme lengths to win his affection. And it ain't gonna be pretty, folks.

Sad news is, I'm not going to be able to post chapters as I write them anymore. It's just not a smart thing to do now that I'm actually getting published. Who knows, maybe we'll see a 2011 production date for this thing.

Wouldn't that be neat?

And now, I'm off to outline and make up some character sheets.

I signed up for Nano. I have a story idea, but who knows how far I'll get this year (I gave up early last year). But I would be a writing buddy if you want!
