a few things...

I hope it's not painfully slow here at work today. I will be hella bored if it is.

I am still in great need of reviews for The Cat's Apprentice.

What kind of software do I need to convert avi files into something I can play on an iPod?

Amazon keeps delaying shipment of my copy. In fact, I think it just shipped today even though I ordered sometime last week.

You need to convert them to an MP4 and then import that into itunes. I ususally find free programs on the internet to do it. They will also "downsize" the video for the size of the ipod. I've only done it on a PC, but if you google "avi to ipod" you should get lots of hits. I think one of them was called ipodifier. There's lots of programs that seem free until you actually want to use them, then they want you to upgrade to the version that works.

That's what I'm finding. I found one I thought was great, but it would only convert 5 min of files. So I'm off to keep looking. In the meantime, I have a friend with a PC who will convert for me.

You are, in fact. I just got the preorder invoices today, so I will be sending them out on Tuesday, when I get back to town.

Sorry for the delay. The books took longer than expected to arrive, then I didn't have the invoices, and now I am going out of town. But I swear I have them and it'll reach you eventually.
