I've been out of bed for almost three hours already...

We had an early work meeting this morning. Free donuts and coffee if I liked coffee, which I don't. In addition to going over important work stuff, they also give out awards for people who excel at something. I got the "Miles of Smiles" award for my "excellent attitude". Can you believe that? I'm praised for not getting flustered on the phones and for having a big goofy grin on my face all the time. Neat, no?

The guest list is shaping up to be a fun one for the party on Saturday. Despite a few sad peeps who can't attend, a lot of my fave people will be there. I'm stoked to be making the yummy trifle, and suspect that we'll be playing some Wii. I wish I had that singing game that [livejournal.com profile] abinsthofheart has. We played it at her place last weekend, it's like Guitar Hero, but with singing. I kick ass at it.

Honore arrives tomorrow. I see my dear sister-in-law far too seldom. Except weirdly, I got an Email from H's mom telling us not to corrupt her only daughter. Something about H's mom reading my LJ after finding it online. I can only imagine what she's been reading...

I had 2 donuts this morning and am on a crazy sugar buzz. I'm not looking forward to the crash that will likely come before 2pm. Fie!!

You know what else? I LOVE talking to dudes from down south. They are so polite and have those great accents.

I hear the Devil is very fond of Georgia, for some reason or another -- if the only way to get him off your back is a "fiddlin' contest," then I suspect you need to tell your bosses and spearhead the initiative to get a store set up down there.

You got an e-mail asking you not to corrupt her? LOL. Only in the 21st century, and only from a religious person.... sorry, I found that part amusing.

Actually, people come to the Arbor-Ypsi corridor TO BE corrupted. I mean, two universities within seven miles of each other? What else is there? Not that I partook in any sort of corrupting behavior ....LOL

I thought it was pretty funny, I mean, the girl is older than 20 (I forget how old exactly).

It's a good thing she doesn't know any of the goings on at my bachelorette! ;-]

I have always maintained that, in general, people who don't want others corrupted were themselves not corrupted nearly enough earlier in life. It's the same thing when people say, "I am not a prude, but..." when they mean to say, "I am a prude, AND...."

LOL

That's a solid theory, Lorne.

Doesn't H have a PS2? If he doesn't mind setting it up in the living room, I'll totally bring both Singstar games and mics.

He does, but he totally nixed the idea.

I guess H would hate to have people singing in the living room. ;-[

But if you can bring over some extra Wii controllers, that would be awesome.
