Wednesday Lee Friday, because that is my self proclaimed name (for those who don't know, I was born with a different last name. Then it got changed, then it changed again when I got married, but 'Friday' has stayed.).

While I'm here, I'll mention that this season of BattleStar Galactica has been kicking the ass. I knew Adama would have to trust Starbuck in the end. I don't particularly like her, but I do think she knows the way to Earth. Six is awesome, I'm really starting to like her. I also like how Gaius is fucking with himself for a change. Go SciFi!!

2. My name is Peter Alway because uh, that's what my parents named me. It never occured to me to ask why the hell they chose "Peter" until just now. And as my parents have been dead for years, It's just too late. Damn. It had never occured to me that there might have been a reason that they gave me that name, and now I'll never know. I just sort of thought they had picked some innoccuous common name pretty much at random, you know, the way kids playing will say "my guy's name is, uh, Fred. Fred Smith, and his super power is flying and turning invisible." But now my name is a mystery that will plague me to my grave. Thanks alot, Wednes!

4. My subtitle is "Music and Rockets and Astronomy--Oh My!" because those seem to be interests that I talk about and have icons for.

6. My default userpic is me holding a rocket because it was the best picture I had in digital format at the time, and it showed me doing something more interesting than staring at the camera to be photographed.
As for fame--I've been a tiny little bit famous in the model rocket world (my press runs are typically something like 2000 books, so it's a tiny subculture who cares about my work). I'm just another oaf on the street in the real world, but when I go to big rocketry events people know my books, and it's really quite a lot of fun. If someone has a rocket they built from one of my drawings, I can go up to them and chat about their model without feeling like a total dork. People seem to be happy that they guy whose book had the drawing they built their rocket from compliments their rocket. The most fun is when people who don't know me already figure out that I'm the person who wrote the book they've been using. The responses are precious.
I hope that your books become widely admired, and that you find a kind of fame that you can have fun with without it getting creepy. If you are ever in a public place and spot a person reading "A Stabbing for Sadie" or something else you wrote, you can just go up to them and ask how they like the book, and in the course of conversation use sentences like "yeah, I was thinking of writing [character's name] to be more [character trait] but in the end she had to be [character trait]," and see if they pick up that they are talking to the author.
