No Prankenstien am I...

I couldn't think of any good April Fools pranks to play on anyone, so I remained prankless. At least nobody got one over on me, so that's better than getting pranked.

Spent today calling back all the people who've been trying to reach me, including a friend from Group, my new psyche doc, and the glasses place: DOC. Then I started sending out queries for interviews to some various online markets. I've approached 8 or 9 online magazines, so hopefully 4 or 5 of them will be interested in doing a review or an interview with me. I still have to assemble hard copies of my press packet and send those out to a few local places.

Here's that TV meme:

1. Bold the shows you've watched every episode of
2. Italic the shows you've seen at least one episode of
3. Post your answers

Did you like the new Dr Who?

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2008-04-02 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I prefer Chris Eccleson to David Tennant in the role of The Doctor, but I like it okay.

[identity profile] trav28.livejournal.com 2008-04-02 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
oooh, I think if you give Tennant a go you'll warm to him :)

(the stories for Tennant are oh so much better too!)

I've seen eps with both guys, although I haven't watched much since Rose left the show. BBC plays them all the time though, I'll check it out.

It's not a long list, but it is certainly indicative of good taste!

I will just list the ones where, to my knowledge, I have seen every single episode at least once. This list alone is embarrassing enough. Hell, I am watching an episode of #43 right now....

50. Quantum Leap
47. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
46. Sex & The City
43. Star Trek
42. Only Fools and Horses
39. Monty Python's Flying Circus
38. Curb Your Enthusiasm

Whoa, that's some list.

I'm one of those people that beleives TV is a mirror of society, so watching a lot of TV is like being an casual anthropologist.

[identity profile] maxverbosity.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 10:04 am (UTC)(link)
I agree.

One of my degrees is actually in cultural anthropology (the other is in cognitive and physiological psychology), so I keep current through scientific journals and, yes, television :-) I am a half-assed anthropologist, psychologist and maybe a three-quarter-assed Detroit Edison service planner.

LOL

[identity profile] leemoyer.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
All:
43. Star Trek
24. Twin Peaks
20. Blackadder
18. Arrested Development
15. Heroes
14. Firefly

Not all, but many
47. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
39. Monty Python's Flying Circus
37. Star Trek: The Next Generation
28. Fawlty Towers
25. Futurama
21. Angel
09. The X-Files
02. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
01. The Simpsons

A Few:
34. Frasier
33. CSI: Las Vegas
26. Red Dwarf
17. South Park
10. Spaced

But no love for Twilight Zone, The Prisoner, American Gothic, or Profit?

That's just wrong.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I must agree. Twilight Zone is a classic, certainly moreso than say, Prison Break.

[identity profile] leemoyer.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
By several orders of magnitude.
I find the trouble with most modern lists is their sheer modernity. No respect for those that did it better...
