Tell me who you are and what you know...
I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you for your interest in my words.
But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...they listen in rapture to the love-music of she-turnips."
I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people whom I know really well. Then post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear.

Julie shares a birthday with my sister, only she's four years older than I (and eight years older than my sister).
My dad rents paintings from the library.
We have a birthday party for my dead grandma every year and I've been informed by many that that's strange. Personally, I see nothing odd about this at all.

But something about me? I actually have actual fun editing things, especially my friends' papers. I watch too many movies. I have an obsession with Asia, especially China and Taiwan to the point where I'm almost certain that, with my Teaching English as a Foreign Language certification I will be living in either place for at least a year after graduation.
And, while he's older, Jon Stewart and I were born on the same day. Which clearly means that November 28 should be declared a holiday. ;)
