H and I went to Arborland today to spend some gift cards we got for the wedding, and one I got for my birthday. From Bed, Bath and Beyond I got some tea lights, a shower rack, and some Ferrero Roche, which I love. From Borders I got the new Magickal Almanac, a true crime book, and a Severus Snape figure that was on sale half price. It was a fruitful venture out into the snow.

I'm having a terrible time finding people to review my first novel. I want to have some reviews I can put in the press releases and maybe on the book jacket. Any of you published writers out there want to pen a wee review for me? I sure would love that. Christopher Moore is too busy to read for strangers, and my friend from college has not yet answered my Email, which I'm not taking as a good sign.

It's amazing how much the movie The Shinning still manages to creep me out after all these years.
This, however, is still hilarious.

And please, PLEASE comment if you'd like to do a book review for me, published writers!

Considering that my published books are model rocketry manuals, I doubt I'm what you are looking for. But I would like to say that I've never seen The Shining, but I have seen that preview before. I get the impression that the actual film might not be in exactly the same spirit as that preview.

Indeed. The Shining is a Kubrick masterpiece. You should really check it out at some point. Jack Nicholson is wonderful in the lead.

I'm hoping to get some fiction or humor writers to review for me. But who knows who will want to. Of course, you are welcome to read my book if you like. I can Email you a .pdf if you're interested.
