Probably some kind of culinary apocalpyse

I ate a piece of chocolate today that was so horrible I spat it out.
That's never happened to me before, not ever.
I think some other flavor infiltrated it or something.
Gawd awful, I tells ya!

We watched that movie Man of the Year. It was highly mediocre, and not particularly funny. Next time I'll just watch Dave with Kevin Klien. That movie is awesome. Man of the Year's premise is a good one, and it's well cast. But it just forgets to be funny and is not especially poignant or inventive. Too bad really.

I'm looking forward to going on vacation the weekend of the 18th. I'm going to work on my Cat story and hopefully map out the end of my serial killer story. That one has been slow going as of late. Plus I'll go on the boat and hang out with those kids I like. And watch fires burn in the fire pit.

I finally bought SAW III but have not watched it yet. Some people are saying it's the best of the three, I'll let you know.

I have to say, Saw III was the second worst of the lot. The second being the absolute worst. It just seemed to be a way to outgore the previous two and not really doing much else.

Maybe I'm just getting too old.

I thought SAW 2 was better than SAW, so hopefully I won't think 3 is so bad.

I was watching an interview with one of the guys who built the stuff for SAW and SAW 2. He was saying how when they researched torture equipment, that the movies have come nowhere near showing what people have actually done to eachother in history. Of course, that doesn't neccesarily mean we all want to sit and watch it. ;-]

I thought that Saw 3 lacked a lot. I must say it had me squirming in the beginning (We'll think back to early last year when I ripped my eyebrow ring out accidentally).. but the rest was .. meh. Ivor liked it.. But that doesn't say much.. :P

I hope I don't think it's "meh". I hear they are working on another one, but that has more to do with 3 making money as opposed to it actually being good.

So I was right about the chocolate? Meh?

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2007-05-07 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh my yes. I feel bad for serving it.
I think some other flavor got in there somehow.

I hated Saw II so I didn't bother with Saw III. You know the first saw was so good, it wasn't like I was watching a movie, more like a documentary. And then when Saw II came out, I was painfully aware it was a sequel.

Hey, i've been promoting you to people I think might like your stuff over on Myspace. FYI.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2007-05-08 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
Saw II def made it their goal to be bigger and badder, and that was apparent throughout. Still, I was blown away by the ending and didn't see most of it coming at all. I really want to like SAW III, but since H doesn't want to watch it with me, I won't see it until he goes back to work.

Also, we're thinking of having the rehearsal dinner on the Thursday before the wedding. We aren't actually going to be rehearsing, although we will do a run through with the flower girl early on Friday. So my question is, do you want to come to the rehearsal dinner? Or will that be too much driving for you guys? I imagine I'll have given you a copy of the ceremony a month or so before hand, so we'll have plenty of time to talk about it. anyway, let me know.

Thanks for the promotes!

Wed, are you writing a cat mystery? Like a Lilian Jackson Braun or Rita Mae Brown?

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2007-05-08 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Unlike Miss Brown, my cats are not literally getting author credit. ;-]

But yes, my second story that was accepted for publication is about a woman who thinks her husband's cat is trying to kill her--and it is.
