Wha--?

I'm bored. Haven't been able to get any writing done and I have to go to bed in a little while. I was supposed to have therapy today but my therapist hurt her back, so I'm going tomorrow. I don't really feel like it though.

The good people at Lion's Gate have a new zombie movie coming out in June. FIDO deals with the domestication of zombies. Hopefully, I'll have seen Grindhouse by the time it comes out. ;-/ We have been trying not to spend on movies since we have so many wedding expenses to expend. Anyway, this movie looks kinda dumb, but we shall see. Anybody hear anything about it one way or the other?

One movie that looks terrifying as hell is Halloween 2007. Damn, that is one scary trailer. I'm stoked. Then again, I have yet to not love a Rob Zombie project. I'm a fan like that...

Haven't decided how to feel about 28 Weeks Later. I want to like it a lot, but I'm not at all sure it's worthy of my discerning eye. It won't be horrible, but it has a lot to live up to. Anybody want to call this one?

I think that 28 weeks later will be a good movie. However, it don't expect it to bring anything new to the genre. Either zombies, or post apocalypse. Besides, they are going to have some serious explaining to do as to why they are starting with a small part of London. If the british Isles were wiped by a plague, the people repopulating would likely start out in the country.

Actually, if it's the American Army they're dealing with, they won't be explaining anything at all.

;-]

I agree though, it would be a neat trick to actually bring something new to the genre.

I'm excited with the idea of a 28 Days Later sequel, but the trailer concerns me that they're going to eff it up.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to have any of the moodiness or careful orchestration as 28 Days Later. I'd also feel more comfortable if at least one original cast member came back...but no.

Same thing with the crew; I started to become more cautious when I saw that Doyle is only executive producing.

No doubt.

Most likely I'll still catch a bargain matinee of it. I won't be able to stay away. ;-/
