Children of Men

My review?

The future is going to suck.

But the movies about it are going to be wicked awesome.

H and I give it four and a half out of five smooches (that's our system).

lol..I suggest you reverse your smooch meter. if you spend the whole movie smooching, what are you REALLY rating. ;)

Perhaps we shall...

It was a pretty damn good movie.

And Clive Owen is gaining on Christian Bale as one of the best actors working today.

Yeah, I'll agree with that.

Glad to hear you liked it.

When I read the book, btw, I went through several weeks of not dealing with anything I didn't really wanto deal with because "what does it matter? We're all gonna due out, and the world's just gonna end anyway." Brian did convince me that in the mantime, it might be a good idea to do stiff like, say, pay the bills and grocery shop and eat and stuff.

Wonder if the movie will put me back into that state of mind. Maybe not if we go on a "date night" and use your "smooch-o-meter" rating system!

I can certainly understand being thrust into a desperately cynical mindset. All these people running around helpless as the world falls totally apart.

But it's also a very moving film about what people will go through to get a little hope back.
