Once it becomes January, we're going to start the long process of putting down deposits and reserving stuff for the wedding. I'm looking at this lady for cake decorating. I didn't plan to spend so much (and may not, depending on a possible cake connection) but some of these cakes are beautiful. At the same time, I could just take a regular cake and put flowers on it. I'm confident that I'll have beautiful flowers. I don't think I want a white cake anyway. Oooh, and speaking of wedding thingys, I found a new wedding comm to join in fatbrides. Woot.

I will be sad if my favorite restaurant closes. They are great, and I don't think tax evasion is that big a deal. I say this flippantly, knowing in reality that taxes are important and actually do pay for things I need. At the same time, taxes are a drag, and I tend to empathize with people who don't want to pay them.
