You're upset b/c your IQ score wasn't what was expected? I always miss genius by a few points - always. Even though each test is different. Ah well. I knew I wasn't all that smart but that test under-estimated you :-)
I'm miffed because I was looking forward to seeing Mars and boating this weekend, and now I can't. So I'm basically being whiny because I'm not as spoiled as I wanna be. ;-]
We generally say pork, chicken, beef, etc in our house, too. But with lamb, there's a reason we don't say sheep. [Shall I bore you with it? Yes, yes I shall.]
Sheep comes in 2 ages groups - Lamb and Mutton. Lamb is preferable to mutton because mutton is tougher and more gamey in taste. Lamb is supposed to be a sheep less than 12 mo of age [although much of what is sold as lamb in the USA is mutton-masquerading-as-lamb].
H asked me why it should be "lamb" and not "sheep" but I didn't know. Basically, if it's a food thing that Alton Brown hasn't covered I have a 50/50 chance of knowing it. ;-]
Ha!!! I so rarely best you at anything. I just had to post it. Usually I get 135 though. I only got one question wrong. The work scramble, I hate those.
We've postponed our UP Trip. Would you like to go to Clair on Friday the 31st? And return on Monday the 4th.
Are lambs treated as badly as baby cows going for veal?
Yeah, I didn't wait for one of the picture ones to load, I was getting bored with it. And I didn't check the answers, but assume the scramble one was also wrong since I guessed.
Lambs are slaughtered young, but I buy free range ones so they are treated fine while they are alive.
The 31st is a Thursday, but I can't really afford to go for that long.
