Luckily, my neighbors can go to hell.
Remember before I was talking about sleeping pills? I tried the Rozerem last week, and it worked really well. In fact, I took them 3 times that week and am slowly getting my sleep schedule to something sort of normal. But I had another sleeping pill I could try if I wanted to. Since I was having serious sleep trouble Saturday night (mainly because my Saturday sucked so bad) I gave them a whirl. So...14 hours later when I actually woke up again, I determined that Seroquel is not the proper pill for me.
When I got up this morning, I noticed an erie blue light eminating from my Global Command Centre (which if you don't know, is my table/desk/console for ruling the world that I do my writing, snacking, editing, nail painting, and breaking up and rolling of ahem...etc on). Turns out, H bought me this thing which is called Rocket FM. I wasn't exactly sure what I would do with it, since I don't have a stereo anymore. But when I actually turned the light on, I saw that H had moved his stereo into the living room and set it all up for me. Isn't that boss? So not only do I have a kickin' sound system in my living room, but I can take my old speakers off my Global Command Centre and put them in the bedroom so I have something to listen to besides my rainforest sound machine.
Anyway, once H goes back to work tomorrow night, I'm gonna seriously see what kind of volume I can get outta this thing. He's always on me to be considerate of the neighbors. But what's the point? I'm just gonna off them when the zombies come anyway since my apartment is not zombie safe. Anyway, it's a bad ass setup even though it's kinda funny to have computer noises coming out of speakers.
We started watching Nightwatch last night, but had to stop it because I was so damn tired. Too bad too, because it's damn cool so far. A fair amount of violence but not gratuitous, cool camera and editing work, and what appears to be a solid story thusfar. I was glad to finally learn what all the hubub was about with this movie. For the longest time I was perplexed to think everyone was suddenly talking about this silly thing.
Lastly, I don't want to openly post about people leaving their house unguarded (I guess you're really not, but still) but I do want to wish safe travels and a speedy return to the two of you who are taking off to a bad-ass comic con this weekend. I bet it's gonna be awesome, although it might pale in comparison to MY plan for the weekend--which will include seeing my goddaughter, changing the catboxes, and finishing this book I'm reading.

So far, I think the visuals are great and the characters are compelling. There is a quality that is both experimental and amateurish about it. Some things look like they should have been fine tuned better, but they also take some excellent risks in terms of what they show you and how the FX impact the story.
But yeah, I'll have more to say later, I'm sure.
cool
Re: cool

And then I hexed my parents with Harry Potters witch powers.
Thanks for the info, I did know this but find that most people don't. It's one of the rare instances where I dumb myself down to appease people. ;-}
But yes, Jack Chick is some kind of paranoid maniac. Funny though.
Yeah, that cmdavi and I go way back.
He's a good one.
"luckily, my neighbors can go to hell ..."
I love it when you talk about your sooper sekrit plan for surviving the zombie invasion ...
Also, H totally rocks, and so does your plan for the weekend.
Re: "luckily, my neighbors can go to hell ..."
Of course, Max Brooks' zombie lit is much finner than mine, which is why I can't wait for his new book.
Yeah, that H is a good one. When the zombies come, he'll totally be allowed to live. ;-}
