Funnest Time EVAR!

H and I just got home a little while ago from the wedding of userinfouterdic and userinfosmarbaby. It was ridiculously fun, not just because I'm really happy for the couple or because lots of people I know and love were there. The people-watching at these things is utterly fantastic. People dancing like hilarious fools, more snazzy outfits than a fashion show, and drinkers? You bet. There was slow dancing with H, tons of laughter, that thing where everyone tapes some advice for the couple, more fantastic food then even I normally serve at a party...and they also had one of those chocolate fountains for dipping stuff. And it was safe because some of the staffers was actually watching it. Plus H finally met R's Dad, which is silly because we lived with R for two years and somehow H never met his Dad. Since H was the only black guy there, he's pretty easy to pick out.

I finally got to meet userinfomaxverbosity, who was not nearly so verbose as I expected.

In non-wedding news, we lost a fine character actor today with the untimely death of Paul Gleason. Those of you who may not be huge movie buffs would know him from Die Hard, Trading Places, and Breakfast Club. In each of these movies, he played a total asshat. And he was wonderful at it. He really deserved more recognition than "Oh, that guy!"

Sadly, they've totally changed the procedure over at NaNoWriYe and I don't think I'll be able to verify anymore. After telling us we would verify monthly, I tossed out my word counts after verifying. Since I'm working on more than one project, as well as some rewrite stuff, I don't have an accurate record of my word count. I don't understand why they would just change it in the middle of the year, and their reasons are ridiculous "Well, some people had to send more than one email" like they should change the whole procedure and make totally new requirements so a few people don't have to send multiple Emails?
I just don't know why they can't get their shit together over there. The mods do jack shit for months and then pop in and get motivated and want to change everything around. There was a vote weeks ago to open up the club so everyone could support eachother since so many writers have dropped out. Now they want to keep it closed so we can "compete" with other clubs, like how much we write is some kind of big fucking secret. But I like the NaNo's because they keep me motivated and on a schedule. Fie!!!

Understandable. I use LJ as a network for Haunted Hillsdale and keep LJ as a personal thing. That way I can justify the "me" thing ;)

I totally forgot to tell you that I traded a few Emails with Scott Jacob a few weeks ago. He's still pretty hot, though much more gay than I remembered.

I had a crazy mad crush on him at Kimball. He was friends with Andre and Paul Ensley and Timo (the soap stat/model now) and those guys.

Ahhh yes, I remember now. And Cranford Nix... Who was the short kid with the black hair that hung out with them, sorta chubby.

Whats Scott up to?

He's working at a nature preserve and living happily with a guy whose name he didn't mention.

You do know about Cranford dying, yes?

Oh well, yes, I guess that would make him more gay then you had thought. lol
