Holiday Party
Man, my co-workers shopped like fiends for that party. And I got totally hooked up: movies (Darkman II, Ted Bundy), Simpsons stuff (Sherri & Terri, 8-Ball), Towelie doll which I've wanted forever, and some fabulous cookware that I never would have bought myself, candy and I'm sure I'm leaving stuff out. And the party was so very very fun.
I gave great gifts too: A big book of Grimm tales, Thinkblot, Shrinky Dinks, porn, Horror movies, homeade candles and granola, a really cool tarot deck (I should have gotten myself one too), and other assorted fun things.
Merrymaking was king, even though some key people were unable to attend or wake up or whatever. And there's plenty of leftover wine.
It sort of puts me in touch with my love of stuff. I have lots of stuff, and I really enjoy it. If someone asked me, I'd tell them I am not into stuff, and that materials thingys are not very important. But anyone who has visited my home knows that it is full of stuff upon stuff.
And I likes it. And I think that's okay.

as for your love of stuff. its good for you. as for your usage of the word. nice touch. i once had an hour conversation about "things" vs "stuff". we even made up a matrix. one cant just go throwing those words around.
happy holidays and see ya xmas day... if not sooner.

Re: I Adore You
I'm a grand proponent of "sharing the love" this holiday season, and I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in this.
I don't hink being a minister means nessesarily that you are required to have some kind of planned out, dogmatic beleif system. That's one of the reasons I find ULC so appealing.
Happy Holidays to you, Lawrence!
Re: I Adore You
I assure you my love send has nothing to do with the Holiday Season. I havent really celebrated the Holdiday's for along time, at least not in the traditional sense. If a friend or family member wants to do something for a day I may join in the cheer. I think ULC attracted me for the same reason it did you. Organized and unorganized religions tend to detract from the reason it came about in the first place. Anyways, I respect a belief if it is yours or hers or his. I did practice Wicca for a while, a while back. I'm interested in pushing the limits of the mind and searching for truth, though I believe to never find the whole truth. At least for as long as Im within the walls of the great secret called life. I think it rests somewhere inbetween existence and nonexistence. I hope you won't mind me vouyeristically peeping in on your journals.
Respectfully

P.S.
Have a wonderful time in all your merriment!
