*yawn*

Well, I had to decide between getting 4 extra hours of sleep and seeing DaVinci Code. I really needed the sleep, and also heard DVC was not very good. So I chose the sleep. Sleep almost never sucks, even when it's filled with nightmares.

So yeah, anyonw who's actually seen the movie can tell me if I made the right call.

Two folks on my LJ list saw it today. One liked it a lot. The other said it didn't suck as much as she thought it would. Everything I'd heard until that point was almost completely negative.

My buddies saw it w/out me and said they liked it a lot.

I dunno, I can't get past hearing that the audience at Cannes was laughing at it.

and every day!

Go to the theatre, it's fun, and communal, plus you get to talk about the latest pop-culture phenomenon.

Please do not encourage people who have young children to go to the theatre.
That's one of the main reasons H and I don't go, because screaming kids keeps us from having fun--wait, maybe that's restaurants. Oh wait, it's both.

LOL

I'll probably see it when it comes to the dollar theatre.

I'm hoping to see it either Saturday night, or Sunday. I'm watching "A Very Long Engagement" right now, and I watched "Apollo 13" a couple of nights ago. I'm hoping it's good. I did not read the book. With its popularity, I knew it would be a movie. If I like the film, I may give the book a try. Lately the only books I go nuts for have been Potters.

i very much enjoyed the movie.if only for its thought-provoking subject matter.much of what is told about Opus Dei in the movie is quite true.also, many of the "myths" about the history of jesus' life explained in the movie are as old as the christian faith itself.which would make one wonder where those "myths" came from.if you see the movie, pay close attention to what they referr to about the Counsel of Niecia.the Counsel of Niecia is when the catholic church was truly formed, with all of its deception in tow.i highly recommend seeing it.

Agree. It was very good.
