How can a burning bush be so damn boring?

Trying to stay positive despite my week shaping up to be a big wank. Haven't been feeling well, punctuated by another fairly serious allergic reactions to these damn meds I'm supposed to be taking. Too bad too, because I liked them and they seemed to be working well. But now I have to stop them and try something else. This means that i get to spend a week abruptly coming down from meds, and then adjusting to new meds. Not that it makes a difference, but I really hate dealing with this whole being at the whim of chemicals and not knowing how I'm going to feel one minute to the next...like Michigan weather taken to absurd extremes.

I realized in the middle of my therapy session today (that schedule is messed up too because of last weeks Group drama) that they didn't call me about a second interview for that job. This means that I'm not getting that job. I did apply for a few more things this week, most of which are part time. Even though I obviously need full time monies, the idea of working 25-30 hours a week is a nice one. I'm feeling very discouraged by this latest med mishap, and it's a chore to keep from turning into a "everything was going so well and now it's just fucked" kind of mindset. Everything will continue to go well as soon as my meds get readjusted...right? RIGHT?!? ;-}

Wasted nearly four hours of my life watching this stupid thing. I missed the first ten mintues tonight, so I didn't get to see what happened to Naveen Andrews character of watch the Egyptian soldier drowning in the Red Sea. But I did get to see Dougray Scott yelling a lot and a lot of people getting stabbed and/or stoned. No, the other kind...the bad one. Dougray really should stick to ruling France or foiling Ethan Hunt. The script was weak even though it was more biblically accurate, the dialogue was choppy and there was emphasis in all the wrong places. Frankly, I think I could have done a much better job with that film. ABC should give me a budget and let me do it, Exodus is my most favorite story in all the bible. As long time readers know, the 1956 version is my all time favorite non-horror film. I don't have the new DVD of that yet though. Frown. No matter, it'll be on this Saturday.

Also, is there any special reason none of you locals has invited me to see Slither with them? If you're only somewhat into horror, you'll want to see such a film with a knowlegeble horror type such as myself. I never get to see any horror at the movies because no one ever wants to go with me. It's the greatest injustice in the history of our times. But then, I'm a little moody lately. Anyway, H has already agreed to take me to see Silent Hill on Monday. Wheee!

Wanna know who sucks? Turbo Tax sucks. I've been trying to file with them for over a week and their free site for poor people does not work. I've Emailed them three times about the same damn problems that they seem to be unable to fix. As such, I have to spend on stamps, copying and envelopes for zero refund. I realize that's not so horrible in the grand scheme of things, but I find it very annoying. Speaking of being poor, it seems that my poor person allowance is going up $40 a month starting in May. If this happens 12 more times, I'll be above the poverty level. Yeah!

Just so this post isn't a total downer, here are some good things:

LOST is new tomorrow
H bought me a cannoli from Whole Foods.
Todd McFarlane's new Hanna Barbera series.
South Park and Battlestar Gallactica win Peabody Awards.
Big Love continues to not suck on HBO.

'cause I think you're swell...

jesse (sunny's hubby) before reclaiming lighting design for rob zombie was doing set dressing.... and wedging his tattooed caveman-like ass into the dancing robot latex suit. apparently after a month, mr zombie is finally calling him jesse and not jerome.
i'll give you a call in a bit... when it doesn't seem like it's a time you would still be sleeping :)

LOL How funny! Don't know if you read Harry Potter, but the really pompous kid "Percy" has a boss who always calls him "Weatherby." It's hilarious, but would be much funnier if the boss in question was Rob Zombie.

A good time to call me would be after 9pm on thurs.

Slither is a Sci-Fi movie. And from the previews it looks like it's going to suck.

It looks like that because it's a parody, like "Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things" or "Return of the Living Dead." I imagine it will mock both genres.
The early word from fans is that it's hilarious and good, but not as good as say "Shaun of the Dead" -- then again, what is?
