Whoooo. I spent the better part of today redoing my LJ layout. For some reason, it takes a long time to pick out which layout I want. Some look really cool but don't have key features like links lists or visible calendars. Some have hardly any room for color adjustments, so you know several thousand other losers have basically your same layout. Obviously, that will not do.

Of course, switching from my old layout to my shiny new one was not without it's tedious elements. For one thing, my last layout did not use color coding for the various friends and communities on my flist. So I got out of the habit of catagorizing people based on what we have in common. At one time, I had a color for pagans, one for people I know in real life, one for sassy dames, one for horror lovers, etc. One of the funnier things is looking back on some of you and how I catagorized you then versus now. One of you I had as "funny" and now I realize that your wit is just the tippy top of the enchanting iceburg that is you. One of you was a horror buff, but now impresses me as a writer. And some of you whom I used to know in real life are always too busy to come over and stare at Tv with me and listen to me complain...so you get a different color.
In changing the colors, I had to go through and retype every single thing on my flist to change the color. Some of you spell your LJ names in very wierd ways. Also, some of you have Lj names I never looked at closely and thus have been mispronouncing for years. Although I finally realized that the 7 in jere7my. is in fact, silent.
I also thought I might pare down my list as long as I was retyping it. But I honestly couldn't think of a single one of you I wanted to take off. Mind you, I did just clear out people who bore me and also never post. Some of you hardly ever post anymore...like what the hell ever happened to a_lad_inane??? That guy was fucking awesome.

Anyway, I have a sweet new layout with all kinds of cool gadgets and more smart-ass remarks where things like "comments" should be. So that is cool. Do take a gander at it. Also, if you haven't been to my info page in awhile, do avail yourselves of the wonders that you may find there.

This may not be so much witty as a general admission of neurosis, but now I'm sitting here like, "Grey... what could grey mean? WHAT DOES IT MEAN? WHAT DOES IT MEAN?" So thank you for that. ;) (I do like the layout, but that's rather unrelated.)

I take comfort, however, in the fact that I'm not some crazy color like that weird brown-orange yuck that no one else is because I would take that to mean "TOXIC WASTE." One of the masses is a good thing in this instance, I think...
