The Shizznit? Why, that would be us.

For those of you who don't know, my computer died recently. So Ryan took it apart for me and saved the hard drive, which was pretty cool. So I was left with a 3gig HD and a totally disassembled computer.

So H and I made a day of it. Actually, we worked on it for almost 2 hours.

Here's what it looked like first:

All the little screws we needed were in tiny labeled bags, making stuff much easeir. of course the 15 pages of instructions were how-to take apart a computer, not how-to assemble one. So we got to do them backwards. H did most of the hands on stuff, while I read the instructions, looked for stuff he dropped, and figured out stuff when he got stuck.

Here is an awesome shot of the computer's guts. This is after the HD and plate went in. There was a fancy name for that plate but I forget what it was. It was just after this point that the CD drive went back in, and we realized something was loose and bounced around inside when you tilted the computer.

Here we are much further along, and the screen is connected once again. It is also around this point that H realized (because I forgot to tell him) that we are missing some fancy pants hexagonal screwdriver we need. We decided to go ahead without it, but H decided that me taking pictures was annoying. So I had to stop.

And here you see the nearly finished computer. It isn't booting from the disc for some reason. It's trying to look for a network, but that seems easily fixable. Anyway, I don't really plan on using it, but I thought it would be cool to see if we could put it together. And we can. So yay for us!!!

In other news, our garbage disposal is broken. We're getting another one tomorrow. The recent Battlestar Gallactica was awesome. I have never liked Kat, and I think she should shut her fraggin' mouth. I made lasagne today. It was okay but not great. the perfect bolognese continues to elude me.

Went to the doc today. I didn't gain any weight over the holidays, my blood-pressure is good and I'm due for labs to check my cholesterol and such, but that is always fine. Olive oil and garlic, you know.

I know what you mean. I had a dream about The Cheif again last night. I even watched Exorcism of Emily Rose just to see him (actually, I didn't know he was in it but I was trapped watching it so that is my excuse).

I thought the same thing about the Pegasus and the Vipers. They can also add pretty much unlimited new pilots and such because we have no idea who all is on Pegasus. I do love the complexities of the characters and how they have long term ups and downs.
