Somthing has occurred to me this week in regard to my writing. I used to crave success as a way to "stick it to" people from my past who put me down or made me feel sad. But you know how they say Living well is the best rvenge? I think it's true. Because my life makes me pretty happy these days and I have almost no desire to shove my happiness in the faces of any fucktards from my past. I'm pretty happy just producing new work that I like. Of course I will keep trying to get published; but not to prove to anyone that I'm good...just because everyone who reads my first novel seems to like it. And I'd like for more people to read it and like it, and maybe get something from it.
And yes, "fucktard" is my new word-I'm-running-into-the-ground. I hope no one is offended at the profanity. But somehow I think if you were offended by that, you wouldn't actually be on my flist.
Speaking of flists: Don't have any of the writers from LOST on your flist?

chaodai. He posts lots of cool little movies about stuff, and once I get a new computer, I'll be able to watch them. I'm told that the "what is the monster" vid is hilarious. Speaking of LOST, here is a horrible article by some idiot who does not appear to even watch the show. Aparently the biggest mystery on all of LOST is Why is Hurley still fat? Not, what happens when you don't punch in the numbers...not Where is Desmond now? Nothing to do with Walt or The Others, or where the hell did that horse come from? No...why is Hurley still fat is the biggest of all mysteries. If that really were the biggest mystery, LOST would surely suck.
I have recently posted a new chapter in my writing journal. That comm is now mostly friends only, so if you want to read everything you'll have to join up proper.
