Holiday Baking nears an end...

I fully intended not to post any more pictures of the stuff I was baking. Because who really wants to look at pictures of food? I did a large batch of peanut butter fudge tonight, which isn't very appealing visually anyway. But when I pulled these flaky, sweet almond pastries out of the oven, I had to share thier lovliness with the all of you's.

Almond Pastries
As Duffman would say: OH Yeah!!!

Sorry to [livejournal.com profile] sudrin as I meant to get these done before sending out the packages. Yours in already on it's way to you. That said, I'll be quite surprised if it doesn't contain a thing or two that you'll like. Don't fret though, H's family didn't get any pastries either. I wasn't sure if they'd freeze okay and I froze all the stuff before sending it out.

I like picturesof food. Not as much as real food, but close. It's like porn for the hungry.

I wish I had more spare cash for postage so I could mail out more baked goods to people.

And thanks, they are rather pretty and yummy looking!

Tell no one:

It's those croissants from a can, cut in half the opposite way. I put in some almond filling from a can and fold them up cute. Roll in sugar and bake 11 minutes at 360. (yep, that's 360, not 350 or 375).

It took about 25 minutes all together and they are delivious.

As I explain above, they are remarkably easy.
