Catching Up on Gifted DVD's:
Tonight I watched Haute Tension. I enjoyed it very much. A lot of people have told me that the ending sucked. Perhaps because I expected it to suck much worse than it did, I wasn't bothered by it. It's pretty homophobic, particularly for a European film. But I don't suppose we can imply that all crazy people are straight either. ;-)
It was very bloody and suspenceful, so that was cool. Good direction and great practical special effects. I'm excited to hear that this same director will be doing the remake of The Hills Have Eyes.
Since I'm all caught up on my NaNo, I'm going to watch Rome and then probably go to bed. Tomorrow I need to do another 2K words. Of course if I'm not tired in an hour, maybe I'll start tonight.

My opinion. Thanks for asking. :P~
Easily one of the finest previews for a movie that I have ever seen in my entire life ---- and this from someone who once wanted to make & design trailers for a living.
I saw the movie immediately upon release; no reviews or anything. Loved it loved it loved it until "that moment", then it just pissed me off. I cussed at the screen and was so pissed at the total "cop-out-ted ness" of it all.
Hills Have Eyes is one of the few Wes "Hack" Craven films that I can endure (the others being Deadly Blessing and Scream). It will be interesting to see how it holds up remade. Color me nervous about it.

I pretty much figured she was in love with her friend, but I just look at it as if it had just turned into a farce.

Are you anywhere around Warren? Looks like there is a screening of CONJURE.

Trailer looks good. Who knows about the story though.

But since I don't drive, I don't get to the old neighborhood much (Royal Oak).
