Wallace and Grommit and Wednes and Dharma:

My weekend was tremendous, enormous fun.

First, game night at K and N's which didn't actually involve any games. But it was held at night, so it's not a total misnomer. I finally got to see [profile] pak_man78, whom I see far too little of since his move to way-the-hell out-of-town.

Saturday was bonfire at the lovely near-home of Kassy and Dustin.
We had a grand old time. I discovered that 20 minutes is the limit on how long I can sit by a fire int he woods alone until I freak the fuck out.
Sunday we got together at my place at watch Great Muppet Caper which I own but watch not nearly as often as I should. There were also cider and donuts to be had. Mmmmm...

Today H and I are seeing a movie, probably History of Violence. I also have to put away all the laundry H did. H does all the laundry as part of our deal when we got an apartment that didn't have a washer/dryer. Then I'm making us a nice dinner, probably something chickeny and noodley with a side of zuchini. Then we'll probably try to watch something On Demand but will find that, as usual, they don't have anything good.

In depressing cartoon news, let's hope Gumby is not arrested behind this

Firstly, let me say how funny it is that when you google "Dharma" and nothing else, you get a ton of LOST stuff and nothing about that stupid Dharma and Greg show. Ha!!

My friend sent me a list of the I Ching correspondances of the numbers:

4 - Inexperience (Youthful Folly)

8 - Unity (Holding Together)

15 - Moderation (Modesty)

16 - Harmonize (Enthusiasm)

23 - Deterioration (Splitting Apart)

42 - Benefit (Increase)

I have decided, and someone should correct me if I'm wrong, that the super job Walt's mother (Michael's ex wife) took when she left Michael was probably at Dharma. It could be that's why Walt has that "Shinin' " and why The Others wanted him in the first place. Other real world to island connections will probably include: Hurley's friend from the asylum, the guy Sawyer killed, and Sayid's long-lost girlfriend.

I only just found out/realized that the people on the boat last season are the people from the Orientation film this season. That, of course, adds a whole new level to things. Myself, I was so blown away by having the polar bears explained that I didn't pay close attention to the rest. Plus, I'm not recording the eps because I plan to buy them later.

It also seem clear that the reason we've been almost utterly devoid of Lord of the Flies references is because the other half of the plane is the "bad side". I don't know about you, but I'm very glad Hurley doesn't wear glasses.
