And now what you've all been waiting for:
I give you: Joey JoJo Junior Shabadoo
But you may feel free to call him "JoJo" as we are preparing to do.
Mighty Meow He is an outdoor cat in the process of becoming an indoor cat. He is very, VERY loud.
JoJo is ready for his close up
Cautious Interlude 1 The first meeting of the minds..the cat minds I mean. JoJo is very interested in meeting Pentelope, and not so much vice versa. He is about 2/3 the size of Pente.
Pentelope says: back the way you came!! Right now they are still a bit leary.

I used to share a house with a guy who had a ferret. It used to wrestle with my cat like crazy. They had a riotously fun time. Of course, you never know if that's a fluke or not.

I have heard many stories of the fabled "Max"; and in fact, we treid to discern if that was him in your icon but H couldn't tell.

They'll get used to each other. Might take a while, 'specially if either of the cats is older and crotchetier, but they'll get along after a while.
Or just learn to ignore each other. Cats don't generally hold grudges. They're stupid creatures. (I love 'em tho; got three myself.)

I think cats just sort of have to get used to one another but I bet paying good attention to both, like you mention, is key.
Awesome name....

I locked my kids in the bathroom and let them sort it out. :) (Not to be mean, but because I had repair dudes coming in and out, didn't have much choice.)
And do you have THIS?? If not, you totally should.

I bought that particular book the week it came out. It's a wonderfully fun and informative read, although not quite all-purpose enough to be one's only guide to preparedness. I do love though, that when people think of zombies, they think of me.
I agree that a slow introduction is a better way to go. Unfortunately, I didn't have that option this time around. They are keeping to oppsite ends of the apartment for the time being, but there's no rush really. So long as they aren't fighting I'm cool with it.

I'm told black cats with yellow eyes (siamese in particular) are most inauspicious.
