Can you beleive I wrote another short story already?

I think it has something to do with having a chip on my shoulder lately about choices and productivity and something else that escapes me at the moment.

These new meds are making my hands very shaky and keep my eyes from seeing well. I don't know what else could be affecting my vision, unless they are making my BP waaaay super high. I haven't checked it in awhile, maybe I should.

Anyway, I tried again to write a story about vampyres for Kim. I don't know a whole lot about Vampyre lit, having only read a handful of things I like a lot. Like those Jeanne Kalogridis books. Heart!

Feel free to take a look-see and give me your input.

Did I mention that (among many others) I got to see [livejournal.com profile] lickingtoad yesterday?
I frakin' LOVE that guy.

I like the story. Nice twist at the end. And I like Klaus and Sylvia.

But, man, your meds! That's a little scary.

Oh, and thanks for reading.

Are you familiar with "mental health" meds at all? Some of them do awful things. Like today, I just woke up and it's 11pm. A girl in my group just lost her drivers liscense because her meds impair her vision that much...I can't imagine why she is still taking them except that sometimes it's not a choice.

Luckily, I'm not in that boat and will eventually decide what to do about these particular meds.

I'm not familiar from personal experience, but I've heard about some of the fun side-effects. I guess you're right, that sometimes it's not a choice, but damn. Sounds like the cure is worse than the symptoms a lot of times.

I guess that all depends on one's symptoms. I'm not quite hearing-voices-that-tell-me-to-kill crazy. So I don't have to take anything off the deep end. But depending what sort of mood I am when I talk to the doc, some of the stuff they think I need at times is pretty "out there".

Well, you're right. Some symptoms are pretty debilitating in their own right. It sucks, though, that in 2005, getting the right medication still seems like a crap shoot.

Oh yeah, it's a bunch of doctors all taking thier best guess. At least my guy listens to me. Sometimes that's the best you can hope for, even with good insurance. Considering I can't pay for anything, I'm in a very good program.
