Ho-Hum
Went to pick up Clarence's ashes today with
uterdic, whom I see very little of these days. I won't go into all the details of that and my horrible thought process; but suffice to say, this is still a total fucking drag. Pentelope is fine now. Her new fave hobby is still swatting at bubbles.
I need to find an illustrator, by which I mean someone who can draw scary bloody scenes and has time to undertake a large project sometime soon. I have been wanting to turn my long zombie story into a comic for quite some time. But I can't draw and need a very serious partner in this endeavor. So if you know anyone...do hip them to me.
TV sucks. I hardly turn it on anymore, although right now I'm sort of watching a nature show. I've been playing music instead, letting my mind wander. That's a big thing for me, since I like to keep sort of a tight leash on my wandering mind. You never know what kind of ghoulish place it will wander to, or what it will do when it gets there. Besides, TV is fucking boring and repetitive and garish. If it were a place, I would not stay for very long and it would probably make me have a headache.
Do any of you writers out there write with a partner? How's that working out for ya? I often wonder if it would be a help or a hinderance to write with another person. I'm moody and meticulous about my work. (Not my LJ mind you, but my actual writing.) Plus, aren't most writing teams comedy writers? My work is more like sarcastic horror about crazy people...so that's not as funny I guess. Anyway, I'd love to hear the input of those who have writing partners.
On a completely unrelated topic, am I the only person here who used to think hippopotami had squared off teeth? When I was a kid...in the 70''s and early 80's, even pictures of hippos had squared off teeth. They were like that on tv, at the zoo...everywhere. And then when that Congo book came out and people were talking about it, I was like What are they so scared of? Hippos can't hurt you! But it turns out that they have huge fangs. Who knew? At least I'm not as dense as my cousin; He thought they ate white marbles. heh heh heh

You're not crazy, you just don't usually see hippos in the wild around here...*hee*

I think this bothers me because this is a rather large misconception about the animals. While I consider myself a "friend to the animals" I support zoos (even though PETA and others deride zoos as unnessesary and cruel to the animals) because I think it's important for people to see and appreciate animals up close.
