Moved: No Forwarding Address:

Okay that's not quite true, we moved to Pheasant Run. The next day Clarence and Pentelope moved as well. They were rather upset to be shoved into cages and delivered here by someone who was not me (thanks guys, BTW) but then they got over it and went about thier normal daily routine of smelling stuff and inventing new ways to destroy the home I live in. Ah pets...

The apartment is kind of nice and very big. The microwave makes all the right lights, noise and timer motions but does not actually heat food. Curious. Happily though, we brought the microwave that Sweet Marie gave us. It works well and makes a cool dinging noise.
There is a loudy McLoud family with a couple of loud kids right across the hall. Our upstairs neighbor seems nice and the walk to the bus stop is okay so long as the weather is nice like today. Yesterday I thought perhaps I would perish in the heat.

Big thanks are also in order to some people I've never met. "Sarah and Eli" have graciously, if unknowingly left thier airport network open so I'll be using it from time to time until our own cable guys come on August 9th. Let's all stare meanly at H for not calling cable 2 weeks ago when I reminded him for the 5th time. I imagine I will have a nearly lethal Law & Order jones on by then!

Anyway, things are certainly passable around here. We should have everything put away in a week or so, as soon as I figure out what I want where and get some shelves put up.

Since several of you have asked, I'll mention again that I do have a housewares wish list at Amazon that you can find at my main journal page. I'm also going to try to have plants again (no, not that kind of plant). I'd like to start with an aloe or two and maybe some smallish herb plants. They also have these kick ass-looking bonsai trees in that one parking lot where they sell rugs sometimes.

I don't like the Ypsi Meijer as much as the A2/Saline one.
Too many slow old people standing in the dang way.

Think we might take time off from arranging and unpacking to finally go see War of the Worlds today.

Congrats on the move! The new place sounds good, give or take the noisy neighbors.

Thank You!

Overall I am quite pleased with things, just a few smallish annoyances. But then, if I didn't have those I wouldn't be able to complain. ;-)
