What I did today:

Stayed up for 24 hours straight again even though I'm really not supposed to do that.

Went to the new pad to look it over and sign the lease. We discussed any questions that I had and I told them I had a close friend who worked at channel 2 news. That's FOX for you outta towners. Now they won't dare ignore my maintenance requests because I have pretended i can unleash all the power of the media on them. So, no one better call my bluff.

Did some packing and talked about Harry Potter online.

H bought me dinner.

Geez, I guess that's it. Kinda felt like I was much busier.

Guess I'll do this quiz about Five Fictional Characters who I would...you know, "get with":

1. Arthur Weasley. From Harry Potter. He's so great. If he wasn't my fella, he could also be my Dad.

2. Uncle Oswald from the Roald Dahl book of the same name. He's a wacky one!

3. Starsky from The Original Starsky and Hutch. He's sexy, smart, and sarcastic and was the first TV cop to reload his gun after six shots.

4. Mike Logan from Law & Order because he's smokin' hot, volatile (read: explosive), and liberal.

5. Willy Wonka. Not any kind of movie thing, but the book Wonka, also by Roald Dahl.

A few I considered but rejected:

1. Severus Snape

2. Jesus, from The Bible. But lets face it, I'm no Mary Magdalene...

3. Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. Even I have limits on crazy!

4. Frankie from A Stabbing for Sadie. But then I forgot that he's actually not fictional. *wink*

5. Hurley from LOST. I can't be dating a cursed guy.

Did you say cursed?

Ah yes. Don't know if you're familiar with the TV show LOST, but part of the plot deals with a set of cursed numbers. If you use the numbers to your gain (this guy uses them to play the lottery and wins millions) then you take on the curse yourself. In Hurley's case, people he cares about suffer accidents and injuries and such.

Sounds like fun - There is something about retribution cultures that shocks me

I love the show, best new show of the year for sure. But ended up being better than some other things I like, such as Smallville and Dead Zone.

Season One is out of DVD in the US soon. Not sure when it will be elsewhere. One of the ongoing themes is the question of whether or not there is magic on the island. So much wierd stuff happens.

The Jesus thing made me smile. :-)

Well yeah, that guy is hilarious!

And just think, he would probably always know exactly what a woman wanted. ;-)

Also not fictional. He wouldn't have qualified because he actually lived. Even though most of the things written about him were fictional.

Well, the Jesus in the Bible is fictional. there was a guy named Jesus, several in fact, but not that guy. Kind of like the Manson in the Manson autobioraphy. Fiction.

That's why I specified.
