Grizzly Man

I imagine most of you have heard of Timothy Treadwell, the great Grizzly Bear activist and faux expert who was later killed by a bear. Yup. And his girlfriend too. *shudder*

Now that I've been assured that the six-minute attack audio will not be in this film, I am very excited for Grizzly Man, touted here by RT critic and LJ comrade [livejournal.com profile] sweinberg. It's a Werner Hertzog Documentary, so you know it won't suck. Looks like it will have kind of an Open Water vibe to it. Plus you go into it knowing what's going to happen. Still though, it looks very moving and terrifying and cool and will surely have amazing footage of some big-ass bears. I was supposed to go to bed an hour ago, but I've been up reading about this Treadwell guy and his hapless lady-friend. Doooooooomed! Plus I was looking for the audio, just to see if it was availible. Happily, it wasn't. I'd have to listen to it...and that's the kind of thing that stays with you. Don't know if you've ever heard the Henry Lee Lucas confessions or that Shawcross interview...but damn.

I've been working on updating my LJ tags, but can't seem to go back before this year. There is no "edit tags" option on any posts from 2002-2004. Anyone else had this happen? What do I do about it?

More importantly, who wants to go see Devil's Rejects with me next week?
You know, after we've all read Harry Potter.

Over the years, I've been a particular advocate of long-haired brunettes, so I hope that counts for something at the end!
