Non-Turkey Day

Family Holidays are a drag for me, the black sheep, since I have to family to speak of. I keep very busy and usually go to work on these kinds of holidays, but I still end up feling sad for much of it...

So, if any of you would remind me how much families can suck by telling me all the crappy things your fam has subjected you to this holiday season, I'd be ever so grateful. That's right, sit back and tell me all about it...your family is horrible...they are out to get you...you wish you hadn't come at all...

And Uterdic, we already know your fam is awesome, so its no use faking me out!

Oh, and safe driving everyone!

Holy shit! That's fucked up.

Come spend your holidays here! You can get wasted and still be safe.

Is your uncle in jail now?

He was in jail from 1984-1987. I moved into the area in 1990, and by then my family felt he was a) innocent, but railroaded or b) cured. Hence my need to run interference, at least until early 2001, when I moved out of the area.

In late 2001 he was arrested in the Philippines for molesting the niece of his new *wife*, a woman with 2 young girls of her own. A woman he was planning on importing into the U.S.

After repeated attempts to get the INS to block the visa application (they've been bombarded since 9/11/01), she arrived in the states this past September. However, because of family pressure, my uncle moved out my grandmother's very lavish home, and upon finding this out, she felt he didn't live up to "his end of the bargain" (how ILL does that make you feel?!?) and went back to the Philippines.

I should mention that my grandmother helped his escape prosecution in the Philippines by paying for his immediate release. He's banned from entering the country now.

Families suck.
