I had fun visiting with P, K and N. They are good kids. Good, I say.

It's my 3 year anniversary of LJ. Isn't that crazy? Sadly, I have nothing profound to say.

My new novel is coming right along. I'm about 54 pages in, which is about 10,000 words of pure witchy goodness with a side order of scare. I'm almost done with chapter 3, keeping in mind that it begins with a lengthy prologue. Also, don't forget that there's plenty of scary reading at my writing journal, wednes_writes.

Watched a bit of Seed of Chucky because it was on in the room I was in. Though I didn't see it all, I laughed a few times. Plus there was plenty of blood, and the kid was kind of cute.

I was going to do one of those revealing memes where I encourage people to ask about my unusual interests or somthing. But there's still too many memes around and I don't want to contribute to that. Besides, if any of you want to ask me something, you really don't need to wait for an occasion.

How many publications do you have now?

I don't have any "real" publication credits. Only unknown literary magazines in high school and college, and a radio drama that was aired on NPR almost 10 years ago.

Plus I haven't looked for an agent yet. I thought it would make more sense to have an offer in hand before approaching one. I still have 4-5 more hosues I plan to query, but that's going to take a long time.

I feel pretty good about the tentative schedule I'm working with. I'm going to try and finish my current project while trying to sell my previous novel. Hopefully, this project will be finished by October, when I plan to participate in NaNoWriMo once again.

I have an older story I want to rework as this years NaNo project. Some exceprts are posted in my writing journal.

I wish I had more of a knack for short stories. Some magazine sales would at least get my name out there. People would remember a name like "Wednesday Lee Friday" even if they thought the story sucked.

I don't write stories professionally so it does not make such difference. One day I'll make the transition though :)
