LOST, Jeopardy, and me.

I went to my second computer class today. You people who don't have macs are silly. Why would you ever want to work on one of those things??? Anyway, I am skipping the classes on the beginning internet nagivation and netiquette...duh? But I'm taking the Word and Excel classes that start in a few weeks. Go me!!

For those of you who missed it, Ken Jennings proved himself to be the John Oates or Jeopardy second bannana. I'm rather a fan of bannanas so that's fine by me. Brad Rutter was a helluva player and a delight to watch. So that was cool.

We find out if we get the apartment we want sometime soon. Hopefully, it will be tomorrow. Last time, you may recall, we had to wait and wait to hear. We want to move July 24 or 25, probably on the Monday since movers are cheaper on weekdays. H stayed home from work to hang out with me today, so that was awesome too.

And of course, all goddamn hell broke loose on LOST. It was insane.

Okay, you know Locke is going to just head down into the hatch first thing next season. He is losing his freaking mind. Charlie will become a hopeless addict and probably die next season, which will suck. He may get someone else on drugs. Unless they introduce more characters (it seems like they will) Shannon would be the best candidate for this. Russo may kill herself soon as she is going fucking crazy there.

I thought Arst's death was very well handled and even funny in its extreme irony. Still though, it sucked as I was just getting to like him. That's just the producers way of letting us know they anyone can go at anytime, without actually killing off another main character.

And onto the heavy stuff, the Taking of Walt. My god, I hate when TV makes me weep in front of everybody, but damn. That was harsh. And Sawyer getting shot when they're like...15 miles out does not bode well for him. Surely Michael and Jin will live but I don't know about Sawyer. And destroying the raft was just mean. Just plain old mean...
So--what do we think they want with Walt? Aside from gross pervo stuff?
Poor Walt. Poor Michael...and Charlie, and Arst, and Poor Crazy Russo. Sucks to be them

Redid my layout colors again to match a funny parody pic I posted.
Need to get back to work on my new novel...not feeling very inspired, plus I have very little alone time to work in. I used to stay up all night and have hours of time to myself. But if we get this new apartment...I shall again.

i called them wanted walt 15 minutes before it happened...
therefore i am standing by the statement that i won TV.

Indeed.

That is why I shall be the Ken Jennings of TV. Because I only called that it was them heading for the raft.

Dustin called the walt thing too and I said, "you are a fucking genius." So you can have that distinction as well.

Locke won't go immediately down the hatch, as the ladder gives out after twenty feet or so. It's going to be a Problem for them to Tackle.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-05-26 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
I think he'll jump right in or far too soon...getting him out will be "the problem" until Michael and Jin come back with Sawyers dead body.

argh, i havent watched tonights episode of jeopardy, but it's all good--its making me more anxious to watch it tonight. are they just going back to regular ol matches now?

lost rocked, all it did was make me want to watch it more--smart of them hehe :) but what will we do now that theres so much less tv to watch?? guess ill ahve to find some more hobbies hehe :)

oh, and re your classes, are there actually people there that actually NEED those netettique parts and stuff? hard to imagine hehe :)

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-05-26 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
The classes are filled with old people who have just got thier first computers. These are the people who still think Email forwards are desseminating neccessary information and that unsubscribing is the best way to rid yourself of spam.

As for me, I'll be using the TV break to attempt to get a handle on my new book. Plus there's plenty of movies coming out this summer.

The sad thing about Arst was that the moment he spoke last week I thought, "Well, goodbye," which was a shame because he was actually a good character. A good character who ordered Jack and Locke around. We'll never find someone as cool as he.

I was under the impression Sawyer and Jin died? If everyone else thinks Jin is still alive I will be a happy, happy person. Although, he and Michael are as good as dead anyway, fifteen miles out in salt water with no shelter, water, or food.

Also, they are introducing new characters next season. I read some article in the paper about it. Apparently some of this seasons main ones are going away, which I take to mean everyone on that raft, with the exception of Walt, died, so we need more guys.

I think Michael will live, if not also Jin. Someone has to get back to the island to tell the others that Walt has been kidnapped. Although it certainly does not look good for Sawyer.

[identity profile] lirrin.livejournal.com 2005-05-26 01:15 pm (UTC)(link)
As soon as Arnzt spoke up and wanted to go with the gang, my husband said, "Look, it's tonight's Guest Red Shirt!" *heh* Which of course, proved to be an apt description.

And we called the Walt thing too, as soon as she said the Others wanted the "boy". I'm thinking Michael will probably survive somehow, if not Jin and Sawyer. (Jin jumped in the water to rescue Sawyer, so he didn't blow up on the raft, and could still be alive, but how they get back to the island is beyond me...)

I don't want Charlie to get readdicted. :( If he does, he'll die, I'm sure. But I'm really glad they found the baby.

My guess is that some kind of floaty part of the raft will remain intact, and they'll use that to paddle back to shore, kind of like the end of Jaws. Someone needs to get back and tell everyone about the kidnapping of Walt.

And yes, poor Charlie is probably doomed.

I did think about that very thing when I saw the dark cloud of matter change shape in the air. It's a solid theory.
