Things that happened, and how I feel about them:

We saw Star Wars Episode III. I can honestly say you people that have already seen this movie 3 or 4 times are the greatest fans in the history of mankind. The first half of that movie was absolute dreck, and the second half was a colorful version of stuff you already knew was going to happen. If you really did LOVE that movie and are not just tolerating it out of love for Lucasfilms, I'd like to know why.

Ken Jennings is getting his own show on Comedy Central.

And last but not least, I got my synopsis sent back to me from Bantam Dell. They were kind of a longshot anyway, and sent me a letter with no actual signature. So that's The Suck.

Didn't post this at the time, but Muppet Wizard of Oz was also not very good. Although it might have gotten better later, I turned it off early. Maybe this lithium is giving me another bought of anhedonia.

The way I got thru Muppet Wizard of Oz was with TiVo. There were some funny parts in between some very not funny bits.

As for your analysis of Episode III. I think you are probably right. Inside every fans soul, there is a deep deep desire for good Star Wars. The Star Wars like when we were kids, and when it doesn't happen our soul tells us a fib and tries to convince us that maybe its "Not that bad afterall". But it is, and part of us knows it, but we keep that part hidden away, locked behind a shield, because if we let it out then we worry it will destroy what's left of the child inside.

Myself, I have a firm grip on "the child inside". In fact, I'm probably more in touch with her than this pretentious usurper they call "grown-up Wednes". I really wanted to love this movie. I also wanted to love the new Muppet movie, and I'm sad that i didn't love either.

But it's okay, as there's a bunch of Harry Potter stuff coming up, and Wonka, and Narnia, and a grown-up Batman I'd swear was just for me. Plus, you know...summer time is Zombie Season.

Did you see 28 Days Later? That's another one we should watch if you haven't.

Yes, that was another zombie movie I saw. I forgot about that. I hated the happy joy joy ending. Liked everything else though. As for Muppet Oz.. I was just glad that Fozzie was back to being his usual idiot self instead of the idiot self he was in Muppet Treasure Island. Talking to his finger.. how could they!

There are two other endings to that movie you know...

Neither of them is remotely happy.

Anyway, I'm sure we can arrange to have a movie night or two. It'd be fun to hang out when H is here, Monday or Tuesday. I'm sure you'd have lots of nerdy things to discuss.

p.s. I love the Cat wallpaper. That look on the Cat's face is everything that was wrong with the Cat in the Hat movie. But I won't get started on THAT.

I didn't get more than half an hour into that movie. it was hurting my insides.
