So what, there's no Smarty Pantses in the Harry Potterverse?

Why can't I find any Harry Potter stuff with Ravenclaw on it?

Because the world is out to get people who want Ravenclaw things. Believe me. It's a conspiracy. We all must either be brave or evil; no smart or "everyone else" people around, thank you. And, anyway, we're all supposed to be in love with Harry or Draco and that's that, so we would obviously want stuff from their houses.

This is when knitting grandmother's come in handy.

Or, you know plural grandmothers. Even though I was only talking about one, she knits and doesn't own "come."

Dang.

All my grandmothers are dead or something.

I'm sorry.

You've got quite a predicament. Actually, now that I think of it, there are sort of but not quite scarves here and here. Also, try here, since they appear to search everything out there.

Perhaps your best bet would be to learn to knit, which I was going to do until I realized that was just silly when I know people who can already with little effort.

Good luck to you.

I had a terrible time trying to learn crochet. I have not given up yet, but it doesn't look promising.

Those sites range from the hilarious to the excellent.
Good deal!

Ravenclaw is the best. As I tend to create characters to fit into the world of all books I read, the one I created for HP was a Ravenclaw.

And what "stuff" did you want? I might be able to use my demonic internet magic to find it.

I wanted the scarf and hat combo like they have for Gryffindor. Or maybe a cool patch for my jacket.

Thanks. I did conduct an ebay search earlier and was pretty disappointed with the results. Type in Slytherin and see what you get....it's huge!

Ofcourse. We're cool because we don't conform. ;)

Ha, that reminds me of a short story I wrote in college which had the sarcastic moral of: conform.

I think I just might dig it up and post it.

I'm in your House, too (http://www.livejournal.com/users/orangepaisley/25815.html). All I could find on Amazon was this homemade scarf (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00076XNBA/qid=1116002573/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/002-0724819-6388033?v=glance&n=507846).

As poor as my knitting skills are, I'm willing to knit my own scarf. But before I buy yarn I want to be sure that I have just the right shades of blue and silver. Surely there's a set of Pantone (http://www.pantone.com/) numbers for official Harry Potter gear...

Actually, people have given me some pretty good leads. I just wish The Noble Collection people would get with the program.

It's a rather scary statement that kids would rather have Slytherin stuff that Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff.

Hooray!

I just found this: directions on how to knit a fairly accurate HP scarf (http://knit.atypically.net/scarves/hogwarts/pattern.shtml).

Indeed. Everyone wants to be either a hero or a villain. No props to those who actually keep the world running. No respect I tells ya, no respect.
