Me, Me, Me...and Meme too!

Oh man...I finished my second day of testing and paperwork at WorkSkills. It'a another of these things I'm doing to try and get employment I will love. It doesn't seem to be working too well though, because they are pushing hard for me to do customer service work. And as a final insult, I had to use some kind of a Dell with some claptrap called Windows 98 on it. Yeesh! It also seems that even though I'm very smart, creative with excellent people skills, my typing sucks and I don't know enough about MS Word to say I "know it" on my resume (But don't tell my resume that). So man...I just don't know.

I'm supposed to check on a job this week at SharMusic. I also nailed a phone interview with Beyond the Wall, which I would love to manage. However, I would think that as soon as they do a background check, I am boned. Drag.

Onto the Meme. [livejournal.com profile] sudrin asked me the following:

1. While I think Wednesday is an awesome name, I suspect it has caused you it's share of frustration. While I would never want to alter your identity, what other names have you considered for yourself, if any?

I went by "Wendy" for a year in school until my Mom got wind of it. *shudder* I have also gone by "Lilith" and indeed, many people still know me as Lilith. I used to think my name contributed to my overall wierdness (as a kid, I thought wierdness was very, VERY bad), but I have turned into that skid and adopted the last name of "Friday".

2. If you could actually get that Time-Turner to work, what would be the first thing you would do with it?

Go back to my second year of college with the knowlege I have now and take it from there.

3. Knowing what you know now, would you still let me take you to see Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home

Yes, but I would have worn a different shirt. ;-)

4. What are some of the pro's and con's of being Goth before Goth was cool

I was really more of an "emo" kid before that term was invented. I was also very into horror and music that was gothy then and is alternative now. I was pretty sure no one understood my pain and even though that is a huge cliche, it was actually true in my case. Anyway, it all made me what I am today, which is good or bad depending on one's point of view. ;-)

5. If you could construct the "perfect" man out of man parts from different people, who would you cobble together into the "perfect" man.

I don't really think of men like that. I think H is a pretty nice looking dude, moreso when he remembers to trim his beard. He's a little sane for my taste, but I think that's how he is able to put up with me. He is very laid back, which counters my high strung craziness. At the same time, I miss dating co-dependent losers who are utterly dependent on me. Well, I don't really miss that part of it, but I like when people depend on me.

That said, I like Adrien Brody's kooky smile; Tom Welling's hunky bod; and Rob Zombie's macabre sexiness.

Hey, my mom (Kathleen Packard) used to work at Shar!! :)

I think so...she was an accountant. I think she liked her coworkers, she made some good friends there. Wayne Swezey might still be there, he was cool - he was in a local a cappella singing group called Desperate Measures, we used to go to their concerts.

Thanks for the info!

No problem. Good luck!

I have to agree with the perfect man statement: "Adrien Brody's kooky smile; Tom Welling's hunky bod; and Rob Zombie's macabre sexiness"

:D

Yeah, it's basically [livejournal.com profile] psychswitch too!

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 12:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't think so. I like his girlfriend very much.

Ah okee.

[identity profile] anarchys-savior.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
Hooray Tom Welling!

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow...and he likes root beer too!

*sigh*

[identity profile] spiralwitch.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
unfriended?

:(

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 11:33 am (UTC)(link)
Just so I could read my page. It was stretched out.

You're back now!

[identity profile] spiralwitch.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 12:26 pm (UTC)(link)
hehe... i'm so sorry.
:makes note to self:

:)

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 01:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course, I only "unfriended" you in the list making sense, never in the actual "friend" sense.

[identity profile] spiralwitch.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
*smile* good, i'd have to hunt you down. *bigger smile*

[identity profile] sudrin.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, just so you know I was trying to come up with something sorta "goth-y" for question five. And since I know you don't get into Zombie love, it seemed like the closest I could get. I wasn't trying to say you were shallow in a physical way. :-)

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't think so.

It's funny though, I was such a morose fucking kid. But it was SO not the fashion...that's why these kids who scour the globe looking for ways to feel tortured make me want to puke.
