Another reason not to bother making movies. As if poor John Gulager's experiences weren't reason enough. We still haven't brought the Bin Ladens' to justice, we are still reliant on foreign oil, and there will be no social security for anyone my age who lives past 65; but Bush has taken time to make sure other people's children aren't hearing any swears. I guess he must really, REALLY regret calling that reporter an asshole while he was campaigning.

Schools don't have enough money? Surely, that's not as important as salamanders. Usually I am very much on the side of environmentalists, but come ON!

That's right, punks. I've been metaquotes'ed. Revel in your jelousy.

No word yet on manuscripts. I'm sending some more out next week, I think.

Also, that Weyco firing people for smoking business was on Daily Show last night. My fave line:

"After all, how hard could it be to find a job...In Michigan?!?"

Have you read any Russion fairy tales? They make the Grimm collection look downright jolly in comparison.

I'm pretty sure this is the collection I read. It's been a few years, but I think I recognize the cover. It was a trip.

I'll definatley follow up on that. My only exposure to russian fairy tales is that show Storyteller with all the Jim Hensons Creature shop stuff. Many of the stories they did were from Russian lit.
