Let me try this again...

Please consider reviewing for publication my novel A Stabbing for Sadie, a tale of a disturbed woman who commits matricide. It is a first person narrative of a tormented child who grows into an imbalanced and eventually murderous woman intent on destroying the "monster" who plagued her childhood, in the vein of Block's Psycho. This allows for in-depth insight into the psyche of Sadie, a bi-polar marijuana addict with a unique interpretation of morality. Despite her eccentricities (or perhaps because of them) the reader is drawn into Sadie's worldview.

The story is a suspense thriller with some horrific elements a la Lehane's Mystic River. It deals with two murders: an abusive imbalanced parent, and the neighborhood pedophile. It begins with a late point of attack, just after the second murder. The chapters alternate between a linear narrative of what happens to Sadie and flashbacks of the defining moments in Sadie's life. The tone is sarcastic and almost comedic (similar to the work of Christopher Moore) as Sadie's wry cynicism permeates every scene. It culminates with a surprise ending that will shock and disturb both seasoned horror fans and thriller junkies alike.

My previous writing experience includes scripts for radio broadcast, including Sexism, Good Humor Men and You, aired on NPR in 1991, as well as several titles for collegiate campus radio. My work has also appeared in the literary magazines Xenolith, and Garfield Lake Review. I have also written advertising copy for print and broadcast.

Thank you in advance for reviewing the enclosed synopsis. A Stabbing for Sadie is completed and a full manuscript is available at your request. I eagerly await your response.

I think this is much more along the lines of what I should be doing. Writing the chapter synopsis will be a little more difficult. I need to do that this week.
As always, suggestions are welcome.

Also, you know what I forgot? A large percentage of college students are rude smart-asses. I don't know how I forgot that...considering I was one for four years.

And we dealt with them wanting student discounts with no I.D.s.
EG: "...but dude, see this ring, it says U.of M. right on it. I'm on the football team."

funny, the person in your user photo there actually bears a somewhat striking resembling to Ms, with the primary difference being in the face.. the build of the body is really pretty similar, though.

It's Jorge Garcia from the new show LOST.

I remember that story title about the "Good Humor Man, etc." from college, and I'm sure I heard it at some point. Wow, didn't now you had it interpreted on NPR! I'm curious to hear the details!

Actually, we sent it to NPR and they told us they were going to broadcast it, but that's all I know. I never heard it, not having listened to NPR in college.

Yeah, I wasn't very familiar with public radio back in those days either. That's a shame you didn't get to hear it.
