Movie talk...
As everyone who reads thier friends list no doubt knows, Sin City was fucking awesome!
I have newfound love for Elijah Wood. It's just too bad The Academy is so snooty, because this movie deserves much more than the technical awards it will be nominated for.
I remain cautiously optimistic about the new Amityville Horror movie. The DeFeo story is a good one despite the original film not holding up very well. In fact, it kind of sucks in it's overtly 80's style melodrama and faux creepy music. Or maybe it's just one of those movies that so many people have copied this film that it seems trite now. You know, like if you happened to see Gothika before Sixth Sense for some reason, you might not know who ripped off whom.
This week I applied for several more jobs, even crappy ones I wouldn't like such as working the info desk at the mall. But I could do such a job, and as I keep saying, I really need to get my ass back to work. Poverty stricken is not a good look for me.
They played that horrible-looking Robin Williams tabloid pic last night. Of course I did not watch, as I wouldn't want anyone, anywhere to think I support that kind of programming. Like so many things, I want to be outraged that they make and show that kind of trash, but I'm actually more outraged that people watch it. This sort of ties in to my disgust at what happens when I watch Project Greenlight. These damn studios will put good money into the worst kind of trash just because they think it will sell. And then it does. So mediocre films abound and idiots pay good money to see them. *frustrated groan*
In better news, I finally won a hard drive auction at ebay. I got a 20gig dealy for $47 shipped. Not bad. After it arrives, my life will be all about software updates and music uploads. Wheee!
My computer is still not reading the battery. I have two different batteries and my ibook won't read either one. Anyone know what gives or what I can do about it? I've called a bunch of places includeing Computer Medic and Geek Squad to no avail.

So I'm going to try to talk to some of Ryan's people before I go spending a crapload of H's money.

Re: Elijah Wood
... look who's finally showing up to the party! (Ha!)
P.S.
I am gay. And also, alligators bit off my face. Additionally, you truly have a butt that won't quit. Et cetera.
Re: Elijah Wood
Get outta here...
And when a woman really loves a man, she doesn't care that alligators bit off his face.
