Weekend with Wednes
Have you ever had anyone copy stuff you did? You know, like you make up a phrase or slang word and some crazy person you know starts saying it so much, people think THEY made it up.
Ever know those people who literally go where you go, assert what you assert, and change thier opinions based on things they've heard you say? These dullard are practically everywhere these days, and I don't know quite what to make of them beyond utter annoyance.
I think the funniest part about these style theives is that so many of them look down thier nose at the very people they are emulating. Well, I guess it's also funny that they are just bland, boring people with no sense of thier own selves. Not funny funny, but the kind of funny that makes you roll your eyes and wonder why the hell you should care. Perhaps it's very juvenile to want to scream "quit copying me" at an adult. Plus there's that thinking on imitation and flattery; but combined with the dersiveness it's just stupid and irksome.
Since it's Friday and my word count is almost met, I'm kicking back with a few good movies. Chocolat was on, which I hadn't seen in awhile. Now I'm just finishing off He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not starring the very groovy Audrey Tautou. I'd love to pick this up on DVD, but foreign films are almost never availible at a reasonable price. Anyway, some late night Roseanne reruns will top this off nicely.
Paul's birthday party is tomorrow. Sadly, his gift from H and I is going to be late because H isn't finished with it yet. Stupid place, making him work late all the damn time. You'd think if someone was already working a 10 hour shift, they'd at least ASK before forcing him to stay late. They're just lucky he's so conscientous and hard working...everything I'm not basically. Anyway, I always love a party I don't have to clean up after.
Computer-wise, things are great. I'm almost done moving all my old stuff to my new computer...well, the important stuff anyway. I won't be able to move my vast collection of userpics until I get some more HD space. Plus Final Draft won't work yet. So my next incredible screenplay won't get pounded out for a few more days. The libro d'fuck is not coming together (hey, that's a pun) as well as I'd hoped, so I'll probably put it aside in leiu of another idea I feel more excited about. I had to redo my LJ format so it would all fit on the laptop screen. It actually looks pretty sweet. I've also discovered that this whole "tabbed browsing" thing is awesome. Why didn't someone tell me about it before...you know, so I could copy them?

I'm guilty of stealing someone else's phrase. But he only said it once; I say it all the time. :(

Oooh!
Damn, she was scary in that one. Especially the conclusion, when she gets out...
*twitch*
Re: Oooh!
Plus I saw that movie when I was still working for my Hot Hot Boss...who doesn't think psychotic crushes are nearly as funny as I do. ;-)
