Anyway, I was looking online for computer accessories, in anticipation of owning my first computer soon. For those of you who don't know, I use my roomate's computer and before that I used H's. But H is not very good about sharing his computer, so I'm trying to buy a mac mini before

moves out. Anyway, he has this really sweet Kensington track ball that works great, never gets sticky or dusty, and has a great hand feel. The problem? The fucking thing costs almost $100. For a trackball! I for one am outraged!

Now I ask you, is this what I can expect from the world of computer ownership--that I will constantly want expensive things for it, and that getting a cheaper alternative will slowly but surely drive me insane? I don't mean regular computers of course, I mean Macs.
