LOST: note!

I forgot to mention when I posted about LOST, that Hurley was on TV in the room with the Korean family in the flashback scene. I know a wee bit of spoilery info, but I will refrain from posting it here. I just hope we get to see Hurley's backstory soon. I think we will.

Also of note is the fact that we tried "I can't beleive it's not butter" recently. I don't want to sound snide, but I have no trouble whatsoever beleiving this isn't butter. But I can see where that wouldn't be a good name for the product.

As for me, I've been busy as a Bee (or as Peggy Hill would day, as a B+) trying to get all this stuff done I have to do. After being at FIA for 2 and a half hours this morning, I had to go to see the Psyche doc at the counseling place to talk about meds. That was boring and I have to go back again in 2 weeks. Then I made lunch for Dan, H and I, then had to run around and do paperwork for another hour or so. I hates me some paperwork. Monday i see my regular doc, followed by a trip to see Constantine. Tuesday is my 4 hour vocational assessment where they determine what kind of jobs I should have and what steps I need to take to acquire said job. My hope is that we will find a way to get my teaching certs, as i have said many times before. I really do think I should play a part in the molding of young minds, and shit. *snerk* Then Wednesday night is Dual Group meeting night. Man, I'm not supposed to talk about it or anything, but there is some crazy-ass talk in that group. It's quite a mindfucker.
Tomorrow, in addition to doing a ton of typing and word counting, I'm going to get Open Water on On Demand. I've been meanning to see that forever, so tomorrow I shall.

Saturday night, everyone is invited over around 9pm. I'll make a cake or something, or you can bring something if you want.
Do let me know if you plan to attend; or in the alternative...that you despise me and wouldn't set foot in my home if your life depended on it. Or you know, if you already have plans.

I imagine that in addition to the usual festiveness, we'll be showing last Sunday's Simpsons for those of you who missed it. Speaking of TV, have you seen that Robot Chicken? If you haven't, I suggest you see it as soon as possible. Or have I already told you that? I can't remember anything properly anymore. Stupid meds. Stupid pot. Stupid Sexy Flanders.

Of course I have to have at least one alarmingly cool item per post. And here is that thing for this post:

Make your own LJ UserPic links!
which is, of course, what I would look like if I lived in Springfield.

Woot!

This reminds me of a humorous joke about the supposed merger between TCBY and "I Can't believe its not Butter!" The new company name? "I Can't Believe its The Country's Best Yogurt!"

Ha. Good one!

[identity profile] sudrin.livejournal.com 2005-02-25 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)
OH, and as for Hurley, I saw that. I'm glad my prediction that he would be the first to die never came true.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-02-25 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
No, he can't die. He represents Humanity.

I was surprised at their audacity the first time I tried ICBINB. Who on earth could be buying it regularly? Are there people who are THAT suggestable?

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-02-25 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I speculate that they are heavy smokers (the buyers, not the sellers I mean).

We're going back to butter.

Every time you talk about group therapy it makes me want to join one just so I can hear the crazy talk.

I don't really think that Margarine tastes all that bad. But it's all about the same to me. I don't have very discerning taste.

I did recently get a sample of Splenda in the mail. I poured a bit on my tongue and then immediately washed my mouth out. It tastes horrible. I would sooner be fat than eat that crap.

[identity profile] madush69.livejournal.com 2005-02-25 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Splenda is good in coffee. Better than the blue & the pink packets, as it doesn't make me ill, but nothing, as you mentioned, is as good as the real thing.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-02-25 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you aren't supposed to actually eat Splenda plain. You use it to sweeten other things.

But you know, a teaspoon of sugar only has 16 calories. The key is moderation.

[identity profile] nate101000.livejournal.com 2005-02-26 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
Totally. Adding two teaspoons of sugar to my cereal has less calories than 1 can of Coke. And 2 teaspoons in cereal is a lot.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-02-26 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Isn't a can of coke a serving and a half? I think 8oz of soda is a "serving" and a can is 12. Servings are very deceptive.

But yes, adding 32 calories to cereal is not much.

i missed last weeks lost

I to am a fan of Lost... a few of MY musings on lost... Well for one I have to tape the show because I can't stand waiting through the sales crap aka commercials. I also think Locke (sp?) is/will be evil...muahhahahahaha... And I missed last weeks show because at the last min. I decided to go meet some people for coffee (which turned out to be a snooze fest.) So i dunno...do i stay in the dark and hope i catch the missed show at a later date...or do i attempt to find out what happend.

Stupid show anyway... I'm hooked on it (thanks to my addictive personality.)

I always go to TV tome and read whatever I've missed.

But a buddy of mine from High School will burn them to disc for me if I ask him nice. We tape Smallville and watch LOST since the commercials on WB are much worse.
