Holiday Shipping
I didn't actually do any holiday related shopping this year expect for my one friend I got a gift for before i lost my job. Everyone else is getting cookies and cakes made by me. So yesterday, I baked all day long (pun intended stoners!). We are sending packages of baked goods to H's mom;s fam, H's dad's fam, H's grandparents and my off again on again "dad", Walt. Walt is also getting some CD's of my college radio broadcasts since he was unable to attend any thing that took place in my life between the ages of 1 and 33 years. You can blame The Monster for that, though...
Anywhoo, all that will get mailed out today, by H, and on his birthday. I had all sorts of cool shit I wanted to do for H's 30th birthday. In movie talk after all, it is his "Carosel Day". But of course because I am fundless, he is getting the Two Towers extended edition, which as yet has not arrived in the mail.
Started looking into apartments today. At this point, if we stay in this area we will almost certainly have to move back to Ypsi, where mailboxes get broken into and laundry gets stolen. I've already lived like that for several years, so the very idea of dealing with that again is enough to make me shaking angry. Plus just looking around this swell apartment makes me not want to leave. Honestly, once the dog is gone this place will be perfect. So if any of you know of a suitable roomate for us, do let me know. Our lease is up in August.
1. Has steady job, pays bills in a timely way
2. Does not drink heavily or use heavy drugs
3. No more pets unless they are in a cage and well cared for (actually, we might consider one more cat)
4. Reasonably tidy
5. Herb freindly/tolerant
6. Has good references.

Mercy; Romans 12:15 Rejoice with them that do
rejoice, and weep with them that weep. You are
a sympathetic sweetheart. But you can be so
sympathic that you can be swayed into a wrong
point of view. You're attracted to the more
troubled people around you because you want to
sympathize with the misunderstood.

baked goods from you sound like excellent presents...and it's neat that you're sharing part of your life with your father you never knew...

I dont' know what will end up happening with Walt. But if it all goes wrong, I want to be able to say that I did my best to make it work out. It's also kind of cool to have some family connection this time of year.

hopefully your relationship with your dad won't sour...but you're right, having some kind of connection with your family right now and at this time of the year has to be a good thing...I think it's wonderful that you're reaching out to him...
