Surprisingly busy.

I didn't make it to the Motel 6 today after a long night of Norman Bates related nightmares. H is sick with something, and I can only suspect it's because our bedroom resides in the low 40 degree range. Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration but it is cold as Milton's Hell in there. Milton is the guy who had a cold level of hell, right? Or is Dante the only guy who thought hell had a bunch of different layers? Anyway, H is even missing work, which is totally rare for him. Here's to hoping he is better soon.

Now I forget, and I've no time to look it up, since I am working fervently on an emergency paper for a freind. That's cool for me because I need the dough. And cool for me again, because the subject of this paper is turning out to be damn fascinating. No details though, so don't aks. Confindentiality, you know! So i've been doing that since noon and I'm almost done. Only six pages, plus a bib and an appendix. *wipes brow* I did stop to enjoy a roast beef and pepper jack sandwich which I found to be quite yummy.

So not only is Smallville a rerun tonight, but they are not even rerunning them in order. Slags!

I just realized, today is Wednesday and I haven't baked a single bread or cookie yet. I guess after I go to the motel tomorrow morning, I'd better get to work on that.

Finally, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] reinventedmuse for the lovely holiday card!

lovely time at home this week

I woke up not feeling too great either, however, you cannot catch a cold from getting cold. That's not how it works.

Of course not. But when outside wind comes in to a warm place, it creates an ideal breeding ground for bacterial and various viruses. If you turn the fan on and sit in the computer chair, it feels like the air condotioner is on full blast.

Plus our bedroom window is really leaky, we have a big blanket hung over it. It's super dark in there...which probably means I won't vacuum in there again until spring. *devious laughter*

Yeah, it's Dante. Milton's the blind waiter.

Would you mind telling me who made your Escher (cat/bird) icon, because I'd like one like it. Thanks.

Not to be confused with Sleestacks.
