Well, fuck me!
You know how for months and months I've been almost ceaselessly complaining about how shity the job market is?
Well, today I got callbacks for interviews from The Shelter (for a temp gig thru march), the temp agency for Receptionist work (feh), Oasis Hot Tubs for management, and Clear Channel radio. Clear Channel seems to want sales people, which is not the job for a non-car having chick such as myself. But with 30 some odd minutes left until my birthday, I can feel a tad less depressed about my life situation. Two of the interviews are supposed to be over the phone, and my cell phone works like crap. Once I get a job, i'm going to try and trade up for a good one. I just need to get back to work before my unemployment runs out and I am literally broke.
Also, I have not finished my novella yet. But it will for sure be done by months end. In fact, I may finish it by Friday.
Nobody really said anything about Chapter 16, which is surprising--considering what happens.
Just so's you know, I have a few more surprises up my sleeves...and man are they itchy!
We saw the SpongeBob SquarePants movie at the Village. It was okay, not great.
I'm going to try to make some new breads this weekend since I have The Bread Bible now. It has every kind of thing you would ever make with yeast or flour and eggs. Zillions of breads, muffins, quickbreads, brioche, croissants, waffles, starters and coffee cakes. It's a swell volume for Atkins haters such as those who live here.
And of course, I have 4 days without the dog to look forward to. So for the party on Saturday, I'm going to let people knock right on the door...because you see, nothing ear splitting will follow. Sweet...
Finally, I urge you all to laugh as I did at the ironic title of the article from the NORML website .
