This is Moleman in the Morning, Good Moleman to you!

Took a day off today from the novel to devote myself to other things. Did a bunch of laundry, read from some books, talked to some people and watched some movies. It was pretty boring overall. Tomorrow of course, I'm right back to writing 2,000 a day. As long as I stay a bit ahead of the game, I should do okay. It was recently pointed out to me, that 50,000 words isn't really a novel so much as a novella. So this is not the huge accomplishment I had been thinking it is. But it's still better than what I normally get accomplished around here.

Aside from the novel, the only other thing I've devoted any time to is looking for work. And guess what? I still have none.
Pretty soon all the unemployment money will be gone, and that will leave me pretty much destitute. So, how's by you?

We're having people over for our first annual "Good Adam is in town" party Saturday, to welcome home the infamous [livejournal.com profile] gusterize of Madstone theatre fame.
It shall be a memorable occasion, no doubt. And cake will be served., which should not dissuade anyone from bringing snacks. ;-)

Was Stepford Wives remake any good? It looks funny, but I don't know.

Also, the cast list for The Devils Reject's has gone from somewhat impressive to crazy insane.
Porn stars, scream queens, character actors, Ken Foree, stunts by Kane Hodder, this is going to be like a Muppet Movie, but with ghastly murders and Mrs. Zombie dancing around in a cowboy hat.
Me Likee very much!

Damn, even this quiz thinks I'm an "Exaggitarius". H must be onto something. He is sure that Exaggitarius is my true sun sign...
At least I don't hail from Uranus.

Ah Ha Ha Ha hahahahahahahahaaa!!

I kill me.

This just popped in my head: how about going to a bakery or something and seeing if you could be a cake decorator or something? I think they do certificates in those things. In the places I worked I was just halfway decent at those things and I got to decorate cakes. They showed me how to do it I guess. I'm saying this because you're good at baking and you're a good cook. Maybe get into catering or start your own small thing?

There's a lot of rich people in Ann Arbor who would prolly pay someone to cook yummy stuff for graduation parties or birthday parties or something like that... it's just a thought. Yeah, I know more things go into that besides cooking and you'd need people to help set up but I don't know - even making stuff and having catering businesses (various ones) sell it should give you something. I do realize that you never mentioned food service and maybe that's because you don't like it? Didn't you tell me you worked as a manager at Wendy's or Taco Bell? I don't remember but catering/cooking is different. *shrug*

I did spend 8 years or so managing at McDonalds, and have thought about going into catering as a real job. Problem is, being on my feet all day in a hot kitchen is horrible, and I wouldn't want to do it as my full time gig.

I have been looking at things I already like to do and making them into a job. That's how I got into the whole paper writing business, and it has been okay for me. But now I don't know as many people in school so it's hard to get the word out.

I didn't intend to lessen your enthusiasm for your novel. Maybe you will find that when you get to 50k you will want to fill the story in some more.

Maybe [livejournal.com profile] shamrock_19_79 has a point. Perhaps this is the time to start that food delivery service you wanted to. I volunteer K as a driver, she is an excelent driver.

If I could get a business loan, I'd buy a house and make it into a bed and breakfast with kick ass room serivce. I'd hire a massage therapist and I'd do card readings and astrological workups as well as cook.

Okay, all you people with rich families..provide me a house and some startup cash, and I'll cut you in as a silent partner.

I like Desperate House Wives, but I'm weird like that. :P Hope you find a job soon.
