Mail, Gee.

I signed up for Gmail today i guess just becuase everyone is doing it and I have a relentless, all consuming need to conform. There are some things that suck about it.

For one thing, you're supposed to type in the email addy's of the people you want to send Email to. That's even worse than dialing the numbers into a phone...which thanks to technology, i don't do anymore. And you can't just check the boxes and send say, party invites to a bunch of people from a list. In fact, I don't fully understand why I need a contacts list, since you can't actually use it for anything. I should have known it was too good to be true when I figured out how to import my contact list all by myself.

Macs rule, PC's drool, BTW.

Plus, I'm not so sure about this whole archiving every message you've ever had. Why would I want to save LJ notifying Emails? Exactly, i wouldn't...but its an extra step to get rid of them. The conspiracy theorist in me wonders why anyone would give me enough room to store all my Emails for free, if not to snoop into my business. Well, more likely is that they want to snoop into the business of people far more interesting and important than I. But still...

So tell me, how do you all like Gmail?

Oh, and mad props to [profile] sudrin for hooking me up with the Gmail invite. It may sound like I don't appreciate it, but really I just love to complain.

Speaking of complaints, my tooth is fucking killing me. Actually, my gums are inflamed and swollen, so I've been putting goldenseal tinture on them, but I need to go to Whole Foods and I dont' want to. That place is huge!

about your gums

Do you live near a university that has a dental school...or possibly a college that offers a dental hygiene program? If so, check it out...they need willing victims to practise on so the work is usually dirt cheap. Also, check out community programs in poor neighborhoods...they sometimes offer dental work based on what you can afford to pay.

Please don't neglect this. Something little known is that infections from the mouth (gums/teeth) can spread throughout the body and cause long term problems, including certain forms of arthritis.

Hey, thanks. I appreciate that. I'm hoping my next job will give me the dental insurance I am longing for...if not, I will probably go to U of M's dental school.
