Now let me...see...

Things on the job front are momentarily looking up. I got a call from a temp to hire agency that wants me to come in and interview for some Admin Assistant and Receptionist gigs they have. I could totally do that kind of work. It pays moderately well and will keep me from having to be on my feet all dang day. Of course, I dont' really own business attire, so that will be a big, expensive issue should I decide to go that way.

I also got a callback from WAAM for [livejournal.com profile] madush69's old gig. I said I'd take waaaay less money than I should have, but it'd still be more than I was making before. They called me with follow up questions less than an hour after I sent in my resume. So that looks promising.

Went to Regis this afternoon so the lovely Wendy/Wanda (see Fish Called Wanda for reference) could cut my hair and make it all snappy and nice. Now its' cute and fluffy with nice layers in the front. I also got all of the Nag Champa Hot Topic had in stock, some SuperHits, a button that says "I speak ParselTongue" and a DVD copy of the unrated version of Dawn of the Dead. Why did I buy a DVD when I'm so damn poor? It was $8 and I would have been foolish to resist.

I'm back at the shelter for the next 3 Thursday nights unless I get back to work in the mean time. I only hope it's not so oppresively hot like it was before. Oooh, and Wednesday night I get to finally see the season 3 finale of Smallville before the new season begins next week. Me likee Smallville!

Damn cool--Hope it works out.

And just an idea--when I had to put together the office character/costume, I got most of it at thrift stores. It took a fair bit of shopping, true, but it was cheap and when I was done temping, I could get rid of most of it without a qualm. And I kept the best of it for interviews and the unforeseen.

Right on, thanks.
