Crazy Joe Davola
H and I have been watching Smallville season one. I vauguely remembered tgrying to watch it when it first came on, becuse it looked really good. Well, it is pretty good. Here are some things I noticed:
John Schnieder is still awesome.
The executive producers include a guy named Joe Davola. I laugh everytime I see that name because of Seinfeld, even though I was not a great fan of Seinfeld. Everybody was just a tad too neurotic for my taste.
While I can see them reaching for some variety from week to week, I certainly see the complaint people have about the show; that there is a different mutated person each week and the plot doesn't move forward much. I'm betting though that this will work itself out in the first season, and he much more cohesive later. Some really awesome shows had good first seasons with certain issues that they overcame later. Law & Order, the first 2 Law & Orders actually fit this catagory, as does Star Trek next Gen. Often times, it takes longer than a season for a show to get into its groove.
The music on Smallville is pretty funny. Very um...Party of Five. or to be more current, very Dawsons Creek I guess.
Anyway, we've seen 5 eps so far. i think one more then off to bed.
Also, we are having a birthday gathering Saturday night for Nate. Do plan on coming if you plan to be in the neighborhood.
Ryan and I are cooking. Wait, I mean we will both be preparing food.
Get your minds out of the gutter, please!

We're having a party for my friend Nate this Saturday night. I'm sure you've met him, he's the one with the wife and baby.
Anyway, feel free to come by if you like.

usually the new Simpsons season starts the week after the halloween spisode airs.
Other things ...
1) Clark always dresses in combinations of red and blue. (Red and blue are Superman's costume colors, tee-hee.)
2) I love how Lex isn't a horrible, horrible guy.
3) Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, the screenwriters, also wrote _Spider-Man 2_. (And some other things that are escaping me ...)
4) Yes, Season I is all about 'This week's mutant.' And it does get better.
Re: Other things ...
Good one!
I'd been waiting all season for that.
And.
I had to explain to H that Annette o'Toole played Lana Lange (grown up) in Superman 4. Like anyone saw Superman 4...
