Electricity and its perils
I've been up all night watching TV and working on my screenplay. It seems that between the peice I'm working on now, and the companion peice, it will be a full length feature, or could be I suppose. That creates enormous problems in terms of cost, finding people who can commit, time and all that there. At the same time, it is pretty compelling if I do say so myself.
Speaking of compelling, Ken Jennings blasted the single day record for Jeopardy! by a wide margin. It was pretty damn cool, even though I was rooting a bit for the chubby gal from lower Michigan, for obvious reasons ;-)
We won't see him again on the show until September 6th, bummer. While I have noticed that some of his "fans" are a little off the deep end, I find the formation of a Ken bashing community to be grossly offensive. How dull do you have to be to resent someone so much for finding a bit of success and noteriety? I wonder if they also hate lottery winners?
Damn, it's as if this were just randomly generated...it doesn't seem to know me at all...
So we lost out power twice this morning. of course both times i was working on this dang screenplay. I didn't lose too much, it was more just the annoyance and fear of losing stuff. For some reason, the VCR won't turn on even after pushing that wierd red button in the kitchen. But you know, there's always something odd afoot around here.
My sourdough bread never did get a great rise out of it, but was okay. It turned out very sweet, I think next time I will half the amount of sugar I put in. I like the smooshed up roasted garlic though...
Heh heh, I ordered a Jimmy Johns for dinner with some money I got from H. No one barked like a maniac when the guy knocked on the door. No offense to anyone and thier loud-ass dog, but it was very nice. There also won't be any hair on our couch for the whole weekend. I'm gonna take a nap on it later! I also am gonna watch my new, DVD copy of Crazy People starring "Cuddly" Dudley Moore. Hello, if you haven't seen it, Hello, you really should. Hello, it's goddamn hilarious, Hello how's the family?
Oh, and Bread starters will not be mailed out until Monday as H forgot to bring me home envelopes. Sorry about that kids. But fear not, as they are safe in the freezer and will be clearly labeled so you'll know what's up.
